For a quality wood window with many outstanding features choose the Acadia Double Hung Window. This double hung windows fits perfectly into colonial or contemporary New England architecture. This unit is standard with Cardinal 3/4" LoE² withArgon glass. As outlined below, we offer many options to customize and upgrade this window so it is ready to stand up to the most rigorous New England weather.

Features
Frame: All interior exposed parts are clear and are treated with water repellant preservative. All exterior and exposed frame parts come with a top quality factory applied latex prime coat. As an upgrade we recommend a cellular PVC sill and sill nosing.

Exterior Trim: Primed and FJ pine brickmould or 5/4 x 4 flat is standard. As an upgrade we recommend cellular PVC in brickmould or 5/4 x 4 flat or the new 4-1/2" cellular PVC backband. Other options include clear cedar casing or any custom casing you desire.

Energy Efficient... The Acadia window offers 3/4" LoE² insulated glass technology in all insulated glass units. LoE² insulated glass is the ultimate choice for energy efficiency and resistance to condensation. Warmer inside glass temperature means higher humidity may be achieved. Higher humidity retains heat better and provides more comfort at lower temperature settings, reducing fuel costs. 3/4" LoE² insulated glass consists of two panes of glass separated by a continuous plated steel spacer. This flexible spacer is permanently bonded to the glass by a durable hot-melt butyl sealant where it's not visible. Warm edge glazing is not only energy efficient, it's also the best performing for longest life.

Options: Grilles: Profiled grilles give a true-divided light look. The grilles are shipped KD (with no surround). See diagram below for grille patterns. Surround grilles are also available special order. Screens: Full framed, heavy duty screens are available in standard white or optional bronze color on special order.

Sash: All parts are clear, come with an exterior prime finish and are treated with a water repellent preservative.

Glazing: 3/4" LoE² insulated glass is standard and in stock. Many sizes are in stock with grilles between the glass (GBG). Simulated Divided Lite with LoE² insulated glass and external bonded grille bars.

Weatherstripping: Shall be urethane foam encased in polyethylene film, installed at the head, check rail and sill. Jambliner provides a tight seal at the stiles.

Balance: All units weathertight and fully balanced for easy operation. The balances are factory finished in white.

Sash Lock: A positive latching sash lock is installed on all units. Wider widths have two locks installed as an option. White sash locks are standard. Bronze or brass sash locks are available as an option.

Inside Stops: Inside sill and side stops are factory installed so the unit can be cased for picture frame trimming or traditional stool cap.

Easy to operate, clean or remove...
Ease of operation along with care of cleaning are trademarks of the window. The vinyl jamb liners are fin backed with foam and allow the sash to move freely up and down with the aid of a hidden adjustable spring balance. To clean the sash simply depress the liners while tilting the sash inward. To remove sash, raise one side of the tilted sash upward.
